Terms of Service
Effective date: October 9, 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern access to and use of Ch13 Control Panel (the "BK app"), including its MyECF Mail Flow feature. By signing in or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you use the app on behalf of a law firm, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
2. Workflow tool only
The BK app is a workflow and record-keeping tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not file anything with a court on its own. Imported notices, automatic classifications, extracted dates, reminders, calculations, and generated documents are aids only and may be incomplete or wrong.
Users remain responsible for independently reviewing every filing, court notice, hearing, and deadline against the official court record and for meeting all legal and professional obligations.
3. Authorized use and account access
- Access is limited to authorized members of a firm. You must sign in with your own account and keep your credentials confidential.
- Do not share your account or let others use it. Tell the firm administrator promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Firm administrators decide who at the firm has access and are responsible for removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
4. Confidentiality
The app holds confidential client and case information. You must handle it in accordance with your professional and legal confidentiality duties, use it only for legitimate firm purposes, and not disclose it to anyone not entitled to see it.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access another firm's data or any area you are not authorized to use.
- Do not probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the service, or bypass its access controls.
- Do not upload unlawful content or malicious code.
- Do not use the app to infringe others' rights or to violate law or court rules.
6. Third-party integrations
MyECF Mail Flow connects to a Gmail mailbox through Google's OAuth and Gmail APIs. You may connect only a mailbox you are authorized to connect. Google's own terms and policies apply to your Google account, and Google may change or restrict API access. The app also relies on other providers (for example the hosting platform and an email delivery provider). We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability. See the Privacy Policy for how connected data is handled and how to disconnect Gmail.
7. Service availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the app may be unavailable for maintenance, provider outages, or other reasons. Do not rely on the app as your only system for tracking time-critical deadlines.
8. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or ended for misuse, security reasons, or when a user's authorization at the firm ends. You may stop using the app at any time. Disconnecting Gmail does not delete previously imported records; see the Privacy Policy for the difference between disconnecting and deletion.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed deadlines or filing outcomes arising from reliance on information shown in the app. The specific liability terms, governing law, and venue have not been specified and need review by counsel.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The effective date above shows the latest version.
